March and April 2012
We are getting near the end of winter and while we still have our
snowbirds with us, this newsletter is setting up our annual
championship competition. As usual, The Championship will be a 36
hole competition played over 2 courses totaling both scores for Gross
and Net prizes. The first round will be held at Grand Haven on March
5, 2012 and the second at Eagle Landing on March 26, 2012. You must
register for our regular tournament event and participation in the Club
Championship is voluntary. To be eligible you must have played with
NEFSGA 4 times since July 1, 2011. If you are eligible and wish to
compete, you need to send a separate check for $10 to Harry Bunker
along with your entry checks. Championship will be flighted based on
the number of entries with prizes awarded for Low Gross and Low Net
in each Flight and an Overall Gross NEFSGA Champion. Checks must
be received before start of first round and made out to NEFSGA.

I think by now you all know that we lost our Assistant Tournament
Director, Larry Lincoln. He was a wonderful gentleman and a terrific
addition to our club and will be missed by all. This means we now need
to find someone who can take his place and fill in for our Tournament
Director when and if he is not available. If there is any member out
there who would like to give it a try please get in touch with Harry
Bunker or any of our Officers or Board members...
We are also looking for members to volunteer to help out with our 50/50
drawings at each event. It would not be permanent but occasionally to
give our hard workers a break.
